NOTES: Southeast of Portland near Government Camp, the Mount Hood Ski Bowl has 65 runs open to telemarking with a 1500 feet vertical. There are more than 300 acres of steep bowls, gnarly chutes, and open glades in the outback.
There is limited nearby lodging and apres ski since this area is mainly day use from Portland. For the nearest lodging and nightlife, check out Hood River.
The ski area is in the town of Government Camp.
